The math about turning off stand-by appliances

I sat down to do the maths, and here is what I came up with:

Stand-by Electricity Consumption (Watts)
Hifi/Stereo - 12W
TV - 10W
Video Recorder - 1W
DVD Player - 7W
Digital TV top box - 5W
Computer + Peripherals - 15W
Computer Monitor - 11W
Laptop - 2W
Broadband Modem - 14W
Answer Machine - 3W
Mobile phone charger - 1W
Laptop Charger - 3W

My personal energy savings from turning off appliances is as follows:

Hifi-Stereo on standby - 23 hours per day - 276 Watts
TV on standby - 23 hours per day - 230 Watts
