What can I do on spreadyo?
On spreadyo people meet who want to change things or spark an idea – large or small. Explorer or revolutionary, scientist or publicist, realist or passionate fan – whatever you are, you are in the right place!
Until now, you have your own opinion – great! spreadyo will now show you the like-minded people, show you with whom and with how many you share your convictions. Want to change the world, even ever so slightly? That is only possible collectively and spreadyo will help you, because spreadyo will show you and everyone, via the spread-effect, the power and the passion with which your opinion or idea is shared.
spreadyo creates a solidarity between people with the same ideas, convictions and attitudes to life and connects them via spreads.
Just imagine raising your voice against World Hunger and 500 million people joining your cry. Imagine protesting the high price of petrol by no longer filling your tank on Mondays and 32 million people doing the same. Or having 70% of your community voice their opposition via spreadyo to plans to establish a rubbish tip in your area. Maybe it is « only » the lack of a competent paediatrician in your district but through your call and its broad support, public awareness of the situation is raised.
It has always been the case that strong ideas can change reality. But not everyone has the personality, time or inclination to influence public opinion via the traditional means of public campaigning. spreadyo allows these people to put their idea into the world and track what social acceptance it has by the positive response it receives.
How does spreadyo work?
Simply add your idea or message as a spread on spreadyo, invite some friends to support you and sit back and see what happens. Who shares your passion or your opinion? From which continent or from which city are the majority of the supporters? Good ideas can spread like wildfire, carried by more and more «supporters» into the world and they finally can become reality. Ideas do need the support of those who believe in them, so invite your friends and acquaintances to voice their support. The more active your spread is the more supporters your idea will get and the greater will be the coverage.
Of course, you can join somebody else's spread and support them actively by inviting other people to voice their support, so becoming an active part of a living movement. Whether as « ambassador » or « supporter »; link with others, exchange thoughts, meet like-minded people from all continents – get to know your real, true mind buddies.
What is so special about spreadyo?
spreadyo is unique- and everything but a forum for squabblers and people who never stop arguing. spreadyo works on the positive principle of consensus. It is all about supporting an idea, not about criticising an idea. Severe criticism does not take place within a spread, but of course there will always be controversially worded spreads and almost all will have supporters. In our world there are many different opinions – and that is the way it should be. Spreadyo is tolerant and transparent at the same time but, ultimately, for every controversial topic, whether it be whaling, the struggle against hunger or a profound liking of Burger King, the majority will decide the direction it goes.
The pulse beat of your idea: The spread map!
Many large developments had a very small beginning. Now you can test how strong or how weak people's interest in your idea is. Its potential is shown soon after you have published your spread. On the map you can see the regional distribution of your support throughout the world, classified in first, second, third (etc.) grade supporters; who invited who and via which links the spread has evolved. This allows you to be at the pulse beat of your idea, in real time. In addition, you will find further details about your spreadyo effect on your profile page, for example, how many supporters joined due to your activities.
